For the first time in over a year, Cedar Ridge football enjoyed the taste of victory on Thursday night. The Red Wolves junior varsity team defeated Rocky Mount Prep 28-2. Junior wide receiver/cornerback KJ Barnes had three touchdowns for the Red Wolves, and also played an important role on defense as Cedar Ridge didn’t allow an offensive point. Even though Cedar Ridge isn’t fielding a varsity team this season, Barnes wants to make a difference this season for the Red Wolves so that they can return to varsity in 2019.
