The first Orange Panther of the Week for the spring sports season is Orange softball pitcher/1st baseman Jaden Hurdle. A sophomore, Hurdle has pitched in victories over Eastern Alamance and Roxboro Community School this season. On Thursday against RCS, she led off the game with a home run. Last season, Jaden started at 1st base as a freshman, helping the 2018 Orange softball squad become the first team in OHS history win a female team sports state championship. Jaden also accepted an invitation to the prom after Thursday’s win over RCS, but it turns out she was prepared before she was even asked.
