This week’s Cedar Ridge Red Wolf of the Week is senior volleyball outside hitter Addilyn Jackson. This week, the Red Wolves defeated crosstown rival Orange and Seaforth in crucial Big 7 Conference matches. Jackson had eleven kills in the win over Seaforth, which tied the Red Wolves for first place in the conference. A transfer from West Carteret, Jackson was a vital part of Cedar Ridge’s run to the Big 7 Conference regular season and tournament championship in 2025. She was fourth on the team with 112 kills. This year, Jackson is averaging 3.1 kills per set. She had double-digit kills in the Red Wolves first three matches this year, starting with 12 in a win at Roxboro Community School on August 11. She followed with 14 at Southern Durham, then recorded eleven in a victory at Jordan in Durham. Against Person on August 20, Jackson had a career-high 17 as the Red Wolves defeated the Rockets 3-1. Last season, Jackson had eight kills in a win over East Chapel Hill. In the 5A State Playoffs, she registered six kills in a sweep of Western Alamance in Hillsborough. Jackson has been a member of one conference championship team at Cedar Ridge and is aiming for another. The Red Wolves travel to J.F. Webb on Thursday.
