Cedar Ridge Red Wolf of the Week: Joshua Hart

This week’s Cedar Ridge Red Wolf of the Week is senior lacrosse attacker Joshua Hart. This season, Hart led the Red Wolves with 53 goals and 64 points to help Cedar Ridge reach the second round of the 6A-1A State Playoffs. Over 17 games, Hart had nine hat tricks, including four goals at Chapel Hill on March 3. In Cedar Ridge’s second win of the season against Eastern Alamance on March 18 in Hillsborough, Hart scored five goals. Cedar Ridge earned a #18 seed in the state playoffs on the strength of winning three of its last four games. In the regular season finale, Hart scored a career-high nine goals as Cedar Ridge defeated Southeast Alamance 18-12 in Haw River. In the Red Wolves’ first game against the Stallions, Hart scored seven goals and two assists in a 14-8 Cedar Ridge win in Hillsborough. For his career, Hart scored 140 goals and 199 points. In his junior season, Hart scored 49 goals and 67 points. In the 2025 state playoffs, Hart scored five goals in a 13-3 win over Voyager Academy in Durham. Hart departs Cedar Ridge as one of the greatest goal scorers in school history. After he graduates next month at the Smith Center in Chapel Hill, Hart will attend Virginia Tech University and plans to play club lacrosse.
