Orange Panther of the Week: Brett Clark

This week’s Orange Panther of the Week is senior lacrosse attacker Brett Clark. The Panthers are on the verge of its sixth consecutive conference championship after beating Carrboro 11-7 at Jaguars Stadium on Tuesday. On March 26, Clark scored four goals as the Panthers romped past Northwood 13-4 at Auman Stadium in Hillsborough. In the opening weeks of the season, Clark missed four games with injuries. Once he got healthy again, Clark made an immediate impact. He leads the team with 35 goals and 46 points after the Northwood victory. Clark scored nine goals in a 14-10 win over Southern Alamance on March 11. He has had six hat tricks this season. On March 20, Clark scored four goals in a 19-5 at Cedar Ridge. Clark opened the season by scoring seven goals in a 15-14 victory over Pinecrest in Hillsborough. Clark was the leading scorer for the Panthers for Orange’s 2025 Mid-Carolina Conference championship team. He finished with 69 goals and 108 points for an Orange team that went 22-5. Clark scored four goals in the opening round of the 2025 3A/2A/1A State Playoffs against Carrboro on May 16. In 2025, he had 14 hat tricks, including six goals in a victory over Eastern Alamance on April 25. Clark continues in the tradition of high-scoring attackers that has been established during the stint of head coach Chandler Zirkle.
