Cedar Ridge Red Wolf of the Week: Kayla Stoll

This week’s Cedar Ridge Red Wolf of the Week is senior volleyball middle blocker Kayla Stoll. This season, Stoll ignited the Red Wolf volleyball team to the Big 7 Conference regular season and tournament championships. She finished with 181 kills, averaging 1.9 per set, as the Red Wolves started the season with 17 consecutive wins, a school record. Stoll reached double-digit kills five times, including 13 kills in a win over Orange in the Big 7 Conference Tournament semifinals. Stoll also led the team with 73 blocks this year. A senior, Stoll played in a state tournament match her freshman year. She was a part of two regular season championship teams and two tournament championship teams. Stoll ended her junior season reaching double-digit kills in her final five matches, including eleven in a win at Southern Nash in the second round. She had 15 in the opening round of 2024 against Franklinton. She started this season with nine kills against Grimsley in a five-set win in Greensboro. In her final match, Stoll set a season-high with 14 kills against Seaforth. Stoll was an instrumental member of a Cedar Ridge volleyball program the most successful athletic program at the school. Her younger sister, Nora, was a regular rotation player this season.
