Orange Panther of the Week: Carson Condon

This week’s Orange Panther of the Week is senior men’s soccer striker Carson Condon. On Monday, Condon scored the game-winning goal as the Panthers defeated Northern Durham 1-0 in Orange’s home opener in Hillsborough. Last week, Condon scored a goal in the Panthers’ 3-1 win over Walter Williams in Burlington last week. It was the Panther’s third straight win over Williams. In 2024, Condon played on the most successful team in Orange men’s soccer history. The Panthers won a school-record 16 wins, the most since the program started in the fall of 1987. For the first time ever, Orange hosted a state playoff game, defeating Swansboro 1-0 in Hillsborough. Condon started playing soccer at the age of seven at the Soccer.com Soccer Facility in Efland. He continued his love for the game through Gravelly Hill Middle School. The complexity of the game keeps Condon attracted to the game. Last season, Condon scored his first career goal against Person. He finished the season with assists against Person, Eastern Alamance and Southern Alamance as the Panthers finished second in the Central Conference, behind only eventual state champion Western Alamance. Condon has also played tennis at Orange. After the Labor Day break, the Panthers will return to action to face Eastern Alamance next Wednesday in Hillsborough.
