The Cedar Ridge volleyball team celebrated senior night by taking another step toward its sixth conference championship in eight years on Tuesday night. Cedar Ridge swept Carrboro on scores of 25-15, 25-22, 25-20 at Red Wolves Gymnasium. Before the match, seniors Calla Lundberg, Anna Musser and Addilyn Jackson were honored in a pregame ceremony. Lundberg has been a member of the varsity for three years. A versatile presence, Lundberg has 178 career kills and 30 aces. Her trademark has been knocking on the floor for good luck before every serve. She was a regular rotation player for a deep Cedar Ridge team that rolled to the Big 7 Regular Season and Tournament championships last year. Jackson transferred from West Carteret before her junior season and was another outside hitter for Cedar Ridge in its run to a 24-2 record in 2025. Last year, Jackson had 112 kills and was third on the team with 45 blocks. Since joined Cedar Ridge, the Red Wolves have gone 41-4. Musser is in her third varsity season. She has six career aces and 33 career digs. Musser has provided depth for Cedar Ridge’s defense under head coach Khoury May. The Red Wolves will start the final week of the regular season on Monday, with its final regular season home game against Falls Lake Academy, the defending 1A State Champions.
