The Cedar Ridge baseball team is atop the Big 7 Conference going into tonight’s game against Seaforth. Last week, the Red Wolves defeated Orange 18-3, its first-ever run rule win over the Panthers. Freshman Wil Ebron finished 3-for-5 with four RBIs, scoring three runs in his first-ever game against Orange. Ebron had a two-run single up the middle in the fifth inning, where the Red Wolves blew it wide open to take a 9-3 lead. In the fifth inning, where Cedar Ridge scored seven runs, Ebron hit a RBI single. Senior Grant McGuffey opened the game with a double down the left field line. Ebron followed with another double to left field for the game’s opening run. McGuffey, starting at shortstop, finished 3-for-4 with three runs scored. McGuffey added an RBI single in the third inning to score Aidan Ryan, who reached on a hit by pitch. Last week, McGuffey earned the win on the mound in Cedar Ridge’s 6-5 win over Orange in eight innings. In the second game, McGuffey went 2-for-4 with an Rbi single in the sixth. In three innings of relief against the Panthers, McGuffey struck out three to pick up his second win of the season. The Red Wolves will host Seaforth at Red Wolves Field tonight at 7.
