Orange Panther of the Week: Kassidy Tolliver

This week’s Orange Panther of the Week is sophomore basketball forward Kassidy Tolliver. On Friday night, Tolliver registered her fourth consecutive double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds as the Lady Panthers defeated J.H. Webb 76-36 in Oxford. Currently, Tolliver leads Orange with 11.7 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. On January 9, Tolliver scored a career-high with 22 points with 12 rebounds in a 70-54 win over South Granville. Against Carrboro on January 6, Tolliver put up 14 points and ten rebounds. In the Southeast Alamance Holiday Hoopla Invitational, Tolliver scored 18 points against Green Hope as Orange finished fifth in the tournament. Tolliver has seven games of double-digit rebounds. She played middle school basketball at Gravelly Hill Middle School in Efland and continues to play across the East Coast and the midwest in travel basketball. She’s looking to help Orange to the state playoffs. Tolliver transferred to Orange after spending her freshman year at Cedar Ridge, where she was named the Athlete of the Week last winter. In her first game against her former team, Tolliver scored 16 points against the Red Wolves inside Panther Gymnasium as Orange earned a victory. Tolliver has been a promising prospect from the start of her high school career and will continue to flourish under Orange head coach Joshua Underwood.
