The Class of 2025 Orange volleyball seniors transformed the program to the top of the Eastern Region over the past four years. Together, Ava Wilkerson, Katie Silcott, Aubrey Jordan, Addison Guentensberger, Mariah Poole, Gianna Negron and Milleka Purcell have compiled a record of 74-35 with an outright Central Conference regular season championship in 2023, a share of the regular season title in 2024, the conference tournament title last year and the 2023 3A Eastern Regional championship. On Thursday night, the Lady Panthers defeated J.F. Webb in its final regular season match at Orange Gymnasium. Two members of the senior class will move on to play at Division I schools. In January, Wilkerson will enroll early at the University of Houston. Jordan will play at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs. Silcott, who surpassed 2,000 career assists last month, will play at Division II Palm Beach Atlantic University in Florida. On Thursday, Orange defeated Seaforth, the defending 2A Eastern Regional champions, in Pittsboro. They were just the third team to beat the Hawks in Pittsboro this season. Orange will be the #4 seed in the Big 7 Conference Tournament, which starts on Monday. The Lady Panthers will face South Granville in Hillsborough on Monday night. The winner advances to face top-seeded Cedar Ridge in the semifinals on Tuesday night at Red Wolves Gymnasium.
