The story of Cedar Ridge football’s first win since 2023 wasn’t as much about a win as much as it was domination. Red Wolf running back Brian Tedder rushed for a career-high 248 yards and two touchdowns as the Red Wolves scored 28 unanswered points to defeat Graham 28-6. The Red Wolves rode the running game led by senior Brian Tedder, who rushed for a career-best 248 yards and two touchdowns. Sophomore Ethan McCall ran for 100 yards as the Red Wolves had dual 100-yard rushers. Overall, they compiled 403 rushing yards. Junior quarterback Matthew Asay threw for 103 yards and rushed for a touchdown. Cedar Ridge’s defense forced seven turnovers and eleven tackles for loss. They didn’t allow a first down for the entire game, aside from one facemask penalty in the third quarter. Senior Caden Thompson had three interceptions while senior Wyatt Harrell had three sacks. Jayden Harvey made three tackles for loss. It was the Red Wolves first win since 2022, when they edged East Chapel Hill 8-6. Thompson also caused a fumble. Cedar Ridge ended a 29-game losing streak with its first victory under head coach Brent Bailey. The Red Wolves will face Western Harnett on Friday night in Lillington. Cedar Ridge hasn’t won back-to-back games since 2016, when they defeated Carrboro and Jordan-Matthews to open the season.
