A jubilant group of Cedar Ridge Red Wolves had extra reason to celebrate on Tuesday night. Cedar Ridge convincingly defeated Orange 3-0 inside Panther Gymnasium in the Big 7 Conference opener for both teams. Freshman Dani Solomon came away with 18 kills, ten digs and three aces as the Red Wolves improved to 6-0 under new head coach Khoury May. Senior Claire Hargett finished with 15 kills and seven digs. Senior middle blocker Kayla Stoll four kills and two blocks in the second set. With the score tied 19-19, Stoll scored three straight points to put the Red Wolves ahead for good. Solomon closed out the second set with a kill to give the Red Wolves at 25-21 win. Ellamarie Perel had six kills and five digs. Perel scored on the penultimate point of the match.
