Brown, Galindo-Woodring push Cedar Ridge women’s tennis past Southern Alamance 6-3

The Cedar Ridge women’s tennis team got strong play from several multisport athletes to earn its second win at Southern Alamance this season.

Madeline Galindo-Woodring, the starting centerfielder for the Cedar Ridge softball tea, earned singles and doubles wins while Jasmin Brown won at #1 singles as the Red Wolves defeated Southern Alamance 6-3 on Tuesday to improve to 2-0 on the season.

Freshman Lydia Bordolone, who was a three-set match in the season-opener, captured another victory at #4 singles. Bordolone and Brown teamed in doubles for a victory.

In fact, Cedar Ridge won all three doubles matches. In addition to Brown and Bordolone, Caroline Hall and Terra Proctor captured their match at #2 doubles. Galindo-Woodring and Phoebe Matthews won at #3 doubles.

It was the second straight time that Cedar Ridge won all three doubles matches against the Patriots.

Cedar Ridge will face another former Central Conference rival when they travel to Northwood on Wednesday.
